Visit Morocco and enjoy the highlights of this fascinating country in North Africa. Separated from mainland Europe by the Strait of Gibraltar and just 20 miles from Southern Spain, this traditional Islamic country is full of vibrant markets, aromatic food, medieval cities and whitewashed towns, as well as dramatic mountain ranges and desert. You can collect your SUV on arrival in Morocco’s northern city of Tangier, at the ferry port or Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport (TNG) and begin your Moroccan adventure by car.

Tangier has a long and colourful history, and as you walk around you will see the contrast of the bustling Kasbah in the medieval walled Old City (Medina) and the grand new modern structures. Take a drive in your SUV hire east of Tangier to Ceuta, a Spanish enclave, before heading out to the towns and beach resorts dotted along the 500 miles or so of Mediterranean coastline, including pretty Chefchaouen and through the Rif Mountain region, until you reach the holiday town of Saïdia.

On the North Atlantic coast to the west of Morocco you will find the capital Rabat, an elegant city with wide boulevards and cafes, whilst driving further south will bring you to the dynamic city of Casablanca, before hitting a string of laid back coastal resorts along the South Atlantic coast and the historic coastal city of Essaouira. Continue south to the large city of Agadir, an arrival point for many tourists attracted to the beach resorts of the region, and due to its proximity to the Sahara Desert and the Anti Atlas Mountains. You can also pick up your SUV hire at Agadir-Al Massira Airport (AGA).

In the High Atlas region you will find Northern Africa’s greatest mountain range, a place popular with trekkers and hikers and inhabited by Morocco’s Berber population, as well as the grand city of Marrakesh. You can fly straight into Marrakech-Menara Airport (RAK) and soon find yourself immersed in a large bustling city, with the ancient walled Medina at its heart. The main square Djemaa el Fna lies at the centre of the Medina and is always busy with performers, tourists and snake charmers, whilst the Souks to the north are a place where once can buy all kinds of spices, food and leather goods.

MoroccoAs you travel north through the mountainous Middle Atlas region, you will find the former capital Fez, a medieval city that is home to the world’s oldest university and an ancient and superbly preserved walled old city, the medina Fes el-Bali. The centre of Fez is car-free, but you will find a car useful to get out and about in the region, and to the more laid-back city of Meknes to the north of Fez. You may also plan to travel east into Saharan Morocco, the hot and dry desert that sits between Morocco and neighbouring Algeria or to the Western Sahara region to the south, formerly a Spanish colony but now a disputed region that includes the city of Laayoune and Tarfaya, a small coastal town on the border. Morocco is a truly amazing country to visit, so make sure you experience the wonderful diversity of the landscapes and its vibrant culture when you hire one of our SUVs in Morocco.

SUV Rental

SUV’s, or 4x4’s are becoming ever more popular as drivers look for a vehicle that is reliable and safe in all weather conditions, has a raised driving position and comes with plenty of safety features. Some drivers will be looking for an off-road adventure or something robust for that winter ski vacation, whilst others are just looking for a bit of fun on 4 wheels. We are here to help you find out which is the best 4x4 brand to hire in Morocco to suit your specific driving needs.

Save Money with Crossover SUV Hire

At the cheaper end of the SUV market are the vehicles known as Crossover SUV’s, built on a car platform but with many of the features of an SUV. Most Crossover SUV’s are front wheel drive, are considered to be ‘soft-roaders’ rather than ‘off-roaders’ and are increasingly popular vehicles to rent or buy, combining functionality, practicality, safety and comfort. Also called a compact SUV, they make great family cars and the fact they are built on a car platform means that they offer more ride comfort than a traditional SUV. Why not try a Kia Sportage automatic rental, a nippy little 5 door Mini Countryman Crossover or a Nissan Juke, one of the most popular crossover SUV’s on the road.

Full Size SUV or 4x4

If you need something a bit larger and with genuine off road capabilities, find out how much it costs to rent an SUV in Morocco. Hiring an SUV is a good way to test-drive a vehicle if you are considering buying one, and whether you are looking for daily rental or cheap monthly SUV hire, we have a great range for you to choose from. The five seat BMW X3 is a leader in the SUV market, popular thanks to its versatile and spacious cabin, good fuel economy and extremely comfortable ride, whilst for the best seven-seater SUV, the Land Rover Discovery is the vehicle for you. A real off-road 4x4, this car has the ride comfort of an executive saloon and the practical interior to match the best MPV’s. The automatic Range Rover Vogue is also a fantastic choice for an elegant SUV that drives well both on and off road.

Luxury SUV in Morocco

With a great wealth of luxury SUV’s to choose from these days, customers are attracted to those vehicles that offer extreme comfort, good visibility, all-weather traction and good storage capacity. If you want to hire the best premium SUV available, choose the Audi Q7, with its imposing looks, powerful V6 engine and a high quality interior, rent a Porsche Cayenne if you want to drive an outstanding automatic mid-size crossover SUV or go for a full size luxury 4x4 when you rent a large automatic Range Rover Evoque in Morocco.

SUV with Automatic or Manual Transmission

Find out which 4x4 rentals in Morocco are available with manual transmission or automatic transmission. Which transmission is best to drive often comes down to personal preference, but the commonly held belief is that automatic vehicles are better suited to city driving whilst for off-road adventures, drivers feel more in control behind the wheel of a manual transmission SUV. Automatic transmissions have developed greatly in recent years and some of the best SUV’s are fitted with automatic gears, including the Range Rover Sport, the Suzuki Grand Vitara and the huge Toyota Landcruiser. If however you decide to choose an SUV with manual gears, then the crossover Suzuki SX4, the Hyundai Tucson and the BMW X3 are also excellent models that prove to be consistently popular rental SUV’s in Morocco. Whichever SUV you decide to hire in Morocco, Bingo Car Rental will find you the best deals available online to suit your own needs.
